A Bitter Draught
"A Bitter Draught" by Brouwer (c. 1635)
I saw this painting and found it intruiging. I wonder what kind of beer he is drinking. If that were me, the beer would be anything made in a macrobrewery in St. Louis.
I am a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), currently serving in the Metro East of St. Louis. It's the home of really great baseball (at least from April to August...) and really bad (now Belgian) beer. I have a dog that eats houseflies.
